Summary: Among the Hidden is about a boy named Luke. He's a 3rd child. In his country Russia population police set a rule that a family can not have more than 3 children. Alia and Percy had 3. Luke was the 3rd child; he feels like he does not exsist. he has to hide every time the population police come to his door or if anybody comes to his door. But then the police cut down all of the woods behind his house. That was where they built new houses for rich people. Before anybody could come live in the new houses, they told Percy that he would have to give his farm up for free. When all of the rich people moved in Luke would watch everybody leave their house. But he saw a girl walk pass the window. Finally Nina; the girl that walked passed the window, came to Luke's door when his parents were gone. Nina tried to convince Luke to go to a 3rd child strike held in downtown Russia. Luke refused to go because he thought something bad would happen. Nina took her brother's car without permission and went to the strike. When Luke found out she had left he was too late. Nina never comes back because she dies. The mayor shoots Nina because he hates 3rd children. The mayor made a 3rd children strike so that he could kill them all and they all fell for his trap Luke has to get a fake identity because he wants to be free. Things go all wrong.
